{"id":763937,"date":"2026-06-27T04:18:10","date_gmt":"2026-06-27T04:18:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/763937\/"},"modified":"2026-06-27T04:18:10","modified_gmt":"2026-06-27T04:18:10","slug":"moped-driver-critically-injured-in-vaughan-collision","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/763937\/","title":{"rendered":"Moped driver critically injured in Vaughan collision"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Police are seeking the public&#8217;s help after a serious collision at Rutherford and Islington sent a 58-year-old Brampton man to hospital<\/p>\n<p>A 58-year-old Brampton man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after colliding with an SUV yesterday in\u00a0Vaughan.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The man was struck by an SUV while on a moped in the area of Rutherford Road and Islington Avenue June 25 at about\u00a05:30 p.m., York Regional Police said in a news release.<\/p>\n<p>The SUV driver remained at the scene, police added.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators are appealing for witnesses who have not yet spoken with police or drivers with dashcam footage, which can be uploaded <a href=\"https:\/\/yrp.ca.evidence.com\/axon\/community-request\/public\/26-216015\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a> or by scanning the QR code below.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information is asked to contact the York Regional Police at 1-866-876-5423 ext. 7704.
