{"id":764045,"date":"2026-06-27T05:29:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-27T05:29:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/764045\/"},"modified":"2026-06-27T05:29:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-27T05:29:09","slug":"new-cycling-link-along-the-danube-can-combine-sport-tourism-and-history","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/764045\/","title":{"rendered":"New cycling link along the Danube can combine sport, tourism and history"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A<br \/>\nnew cycling infrastructure along the international EuroVelo 6 route<br \/>\nalong the Danube is planned by the municipalities of Tutrakan,<br \/>\nGlavinica and Olteni\u021ba.<br \/>\nFor this purpose, the municipal council in Tutrakan gave its consent<br \/>\nfor the municipality to apply with a project under the Interreg VI-A<br \/>\nRomania\u2013Bulgaria program, BTA reported.\n<\/p>\n<p>The<br \/>\nproject envisages the construction and rehabilitation of about 36 km<br \/>\nof cycling infrastructure on both sides of the Danube, of which<br \/>\nnearly 27.5 km in Bulgaria &#8211; between Tutrakan, Pozharevo, Dunavets,<br \/>\nDolno Ryahovo and the protected area &#8220;Malak Preslavets&#8221;. <\/p>\n<p>Tourist<br \/>\nand safety infrastructure are also planned. The project is worth<br \/>\nnearly 6 million euros, and the concept has already been ranked third<br \/>\namong 42 applications.
