(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wbtv.com\/2026\/06\/26\/tv-icon-becomes-strategic-owner-nascar-team\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wbtv.com\/2026\/06\/26\/tv-icon-becomes-strategic-owner-nascar-team\/\">WBTV<\/a>\/Gray News) &#8211; A television food star is the latest big name to join a star-powered NASCAR ownership group. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Guy Fieri joined Legacy Motor Club as a \u201cstrategic owner,\u201d the team <a href=\"https:\/\/mailchi.mp\/legacymotorclub\/guy-fieri-announcement?e=8ead625cc8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/mailchi.mp\/legacymotorclub\/guy-fieri-announcement?e=8ead625cc8\">announced<\/a> on Thursday. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Fieri, known for his numerous Food Network programs, including the ever-popular show \u201cDiner, Drive-Ins and Dives,\u201d is joining the NASCAR team that is steeped in history.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cMotorsports and race cars have always had that raw energy I love &#8212; the people, the passion, the culture, the speed,\u201d Fieri shared.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Seven-time champions Jimmie Johnson and Richard Petty are also team partners.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cLegacy Motor Club is building something different, and I wanted to be part of it. This is about more than racing &#8212; it\u2019s about creating a brand that connects with fans everywhere, from the track to the table,\u201d Fieri said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Legacy Motor Club said Fieri\u2019s involvement with the team would include plans for collaborative content, fan engagement initiatives, and merchandise that combines racing, food and lifestyle culture.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cGuy has built an incredible brand by being authentic and connecting with people in a real way,\u201d Johnson said. \u201cThat\u2019s at the heart of what we\u2019re building here. We want Legacy to reach far beyond race day, and Guy\u2019s creativity, energy, and perspective are exactly what this ownership group is about.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The team announced in March that music star Darius Rucker had additionally <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wbtv.com\/2026\/03\/26\/country-music-singer-joins-nascar-race-team-co-owner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wbtv.com\/2026\/03\/26\/country-music-singer-joins-nascar-race-team-co-owner\/\">joined<\/a> Legacy\u2019s ownership group.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Legacy Motor Club fields two full-time entries in the NASCAR Cup Series, with drivers Erik Jones in No. 43 and John Hunter Nemechek in the No. 42 vehicle.
