Hong Kong\u2019s prison service has withdrawn an anti-drug video featuring a beautiful AI-generated virtual K-pop girl group from social media and revised it after internet users said it resembled a promotion campaign for illegal substances.<\/p>\n
The Correctional Services Department uploaded the controversial video, titled \u201cObsession: The Sugar-Coated Trap\u201d, to its social media platforms on Friday.<\/p>\n
In the video, four pretty AI-generated virtual K-pop idols in fancy clothes sing and dance. One, named \u201cCannabis\u201d, says: \u201cWith a romantic puff of smoke [from grass], only one stick will help you forget all worries. Very chilled.\u201d<\/p>\n
Another one, named \u201cIce\u201d, says that trying her will \u201cguarantee you feel so good your soul leaves your body\u201d.<\/p>\n
The department quickly removed and revised the video after social media users said it appeared to promote drug use rather than discourage it.<\/p>\n
