{"id":764803,"date":"2026-06-27T14:02:10","date_gmt":"2026-06-27T14:02:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/764803\/"},"modified":"2026-06-27T14:02:10","modified_gmt":"2026-06-27T14:02:10","slug":"nba-writer-names-why-this-western-conference-team-should-make-jaylen-brown-its-no-1-offseason-priority","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/764803\/","title":{"rendered":"NBA Writer Names Why This Western Conference Team Should Make Jaylen Brown Its No. 1 Offseason Priority"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If the <a href=\"https:\/\/nesn.com\/boston-celtics\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Celtics<\/a> are considering trading Jaylen Brown this offseason, it might be better to send him to a Western Conference team so they don&#8217;t have to deal with him in the East.<\/p>\n<p>There are a handful of young and upcoming teams that should be looking to add Brown, and Bleacher Report&#8217;s Grant Hughes thinks the Dallas Mavericks&#8217; No. 1 priority <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/bleacherreport.com\/articles\/25442973-ranking-every-teams-top-3-trade-and-free-agency-targets-after-2026-nba-draft\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">should be landing<\/a> Brown.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If Brown is going to be dealt, the Mavs would be remiss in not taking a crack at him. Though adding a pricey vet would cut against Dallas&#8217; youth-driven reorientation around Cooper Flagg and former Michigan head coach Dusty May, the potential of Flagg, Brown and Kyrie Irving together is hard to dismiss,&#8221; Hughes wrote on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>If Dallas could add Brown, it might become a legitimate NBA Finals contender over the next few seasons.
