Note: What a busy Friday night as we covered all things Jets at the live Draft party in downtown Winnipeg. There was a lot of excitement when the Jets selected\u00a0Viggo Bj\u00f6rck with the 8th overall selection<\/a>. He spoke shortly thereafter for the first time as a drafted prospect<\/a>. Day 1 of the Draft concluded with comments from GM Kevin Cheveldayoff which you can watch here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Note III: As it stands, the Winnipeg Jets are scheduled to make six selections on the second day of the draft, including picks in the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th rounds. Of course, with trades always a possibility, those plans could change before the day is done.<\/p>\n

TSN:\u00a0Jets bolster forwards group by taking Bjorck eighth overall in NHL Draft<\/a>. This team desperately needs more centre depth and they got it with this addition.<\/p>\n

TSN:\u00a0Could the Winnipeg Jets reconsider Connor Hellebuyck\u2019s future<\/a>?\u00a0The segment kicked off with talk about Connor Hellebuyck as the first round of the 2026 NHL Draft passed without any movement regarding the netminder\u2019s future. Darren Dreger was asked what the Jets do moving forward? The hockey insider indicated a lot of time and effort was invested in trying to appease 37 and \u201cmove him along\u201d. Said the primary target were the Sabres but that Buffalo pulled back because they weren\u2019t comfortable with the package wanted by Winnipeg. He then floated a theory that the Jets could \u201cbolster their lineup\u201d which would allow them to go back to Hellebuyck to see if that would change his mind.<\/p>\n
