A late-night crash in Brampton has left one person dead and several others with serious injuries.<\/p>\n

Peel Regional Police say a two-vehicle collision happened at the intersection of McVean Drive and Countryside Drive around 10:44 p.m. Saturday.<\/p>\n

One occupant was pronounced dead at the scene. Several other people involved in the crash were taken to trauma centres with serious and life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

Police have not said how many people were involved or what may have led to the collision.<\/p>\n

The intersection remains closed as investigators work to piece together what happened. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area and find alternate routes.<\/p>\n

More information is expected to be released as the investigation continues.<\/p>\n
