Three Brampton men are facing criminal charges after Ontario Provincial Police recovered a stolen vehicle following a failed attempt to flee officers in Caledon.<\/p>\n
Officers with the OPP Caledon Detachment responded to a report of suspicious activity at a property on Coleraine Drive at about 10:50 p.m. on Saturday (June 27).<\/p>\n
When officers arrived, they spotted a vehicle leaving the property and attempted to stop it. Police say the driver fled before losing control of the vehicle a short distance away.<\/p>\n
The driver was arrested at the scene, while two passengers were taken into custody a short distance away.<\/p>\n
Police later determined the vehicle had been reported stolen from another jurisdiction.<\/p>\n
As a result of the investigation, three Brampton residents have been charged.<\/p>\n
Lovepreet Singh, 29, has been charged with:<\/p>\n
Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
\nFlight from police
\nDangerous operation of a motor vehicle
\nOperation of a motor vehicle while prohibited<\/p>\n
Dilraj Dhillon, 26, has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.<\/p>\n
Harjet Dhillon, 29, has also been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.<\/p>\n
All three accused were held for a bail hearing scheduled for Sunday (June 28) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville.<\/p>\n
The OPP did not identify the jurisdiction where the vehicle had originally been reported stolen, and the investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n
