They found an injured man who had been hit by gunfire while in his car outside the home.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOfficers applied emergency medical aid until BCEHS paramedics arrived. The victim was transported to hospital with reportedly serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries,\u201d an SPS release says.<\/p>\n<p>Officers with the SPS Project Assurance team \u2013 which was set up to help combat extortion-related crimes \u2013 were in the area at the time and stopped a suspect vehicle.
