{"id":768979,"date":"2026-06-29T14:22:11","date_gmt":"2026-06-29T14:22:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/768979\/"},"modified":"2026-06-29T14:22:11","modified_gmt":"2026-06-29T14:22:11","slug":"targeted-shooting-reported-in-community-north-of-brampton","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/768979\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Targeted&#8217; shooting reported in community north of Brampton"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Police are investigating a shooting in front of a home in Caledon last week.<\/p>\n<p>Officers responded the shooting in front of a residence on Bambi Trail at approximately 2:15 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, the Ontario Provincial Police said.<\/p>\n<p>No injuries were reported as a result of the incident, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Police said a white sedan was seen leaving the area at a high rate of speed following the incident.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators believe this is a targeted incident, the OPP said. The OPP urges community members to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activity to the police.<\/p>\n<p>This investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information or surveillance\/dashcam footage is asked to contact Caledon OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
