The device sold out quickly.<br \/>\nAYANEO has confirmed that only 100 units were available for order outside of China.<br \/>\nThe company is currently evaluating whether it can arrange a second production run.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, gaming handheld maker AYANEO officially <a href=\"https:\/\/www.androidauthority.com\/ayaneo-pocket-micro-2-launch-3681891\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">launched its Pocket Micro 2<\/a> at a starting price of $269. Sequel to the well-liked AYANEO Pocket Micro, the new model was in predictably high demand, selling out almost immediately. Now, though, AYANEO says it\u2019s thinking about a potential second production run.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeextension.com\/news\/2026\/06\/ayaneo-evaluating-another-pocket-micro-2-run-after-launch-shortages-but-cant-promise-itll-happen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Time Extension<\/a> reports that AYANEO\u2019s posted a message in its official Discord channel to say that the company is \u201ccurrently discussing with our suppliers to see if additional production can be arranged.\u201d The report says that in a separate post, AYANEO Head of Sales John Nee shared that only 100 units were made available for sale outside of China \u2014 and that\u2019s actually a pretty significant portion of the overall number of handhelds produced.<\/p>\n<p>Nee wrote that AYANEO \u201cprepared more than 1,000 units of Pocket MICRO 2,\u201d adding that the company was taken by surprise by demand inside China when pre-orders opened last week. That led the company \u201cto allocate only 100 units for overseas customers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>AYANEO\u2019s taking the opportunity to get some newsletter subscriptions, telling customers that it\u2019ll use mailing list sign-ups to gauge interest in a second run. The company didn\u2019t make any guarantees, saying that \u201cWe can\u2019t promise that we\u2019ll be able to make it happen.\u201d Nee did add that AYANEO will aim to make more units of future releases available at launch, at least.<\/p>\n<p>If you live outside China and you managed to snag a Pocket Micro 2 pre-order, you\u2019re one of the lucky ones.
