\n\tEven Quentin Tarantino<\/a> has a favorite Tarantino movie.<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring an expansive interview on \u201cThe Church of Tarantino<\/a>\u201d podcast, the two-time Oscar winner revealed which of his films is his favorite and which he thinks is his best.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201c\u2018Once Upon a Time in Hollywood<\/a>\u2019 is my favorite, \u2018Inglourious Basterds<\/a>\u2019 is my best,\u201d Tarantino said. \u201cBut I think \u2018Kill Bill<\/a>\u2019 is the ultimate Quentin movie, like nobody else could\u2019ve made it. Every aspect about it is so particularly ripped, like with tentacles and bloody tissue, from my imagination and my id and my loves and my passion and my obsession. So I think \u2018Kill Bill\u2019 is the movie I was born to make, I think \u2018Inglourious Basterds\u2019 is my masterpiece, but \u2018Once Upon a Time in Hollywood\u2019 is my favorite.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe \u201cPulp Fiction\u201d director then picked his favorite and best from his screenplays.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI think \u2018Inglourious Basterds\u2019 is my best script, and I think \u2018Hateful Eight\u2019 and \u2018Once Upon a Time In Hollywood\u2019 are right behind,\u201d he explained. \u201cBut, there\u2019s an aspect of \u2018Hateful Eight\u2019 that I actually think is probably my best directing of my material, i.e., the material is written and it\u2019s solid. So it\u2019s not like I have to create it, like \u2018Kill Bill,\u2019 it\u2019s solid, it\u2019s right there and I actually think it\u2019s my best servicing [of] my material as a director.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDespite Tarantino\u2019s affinity for \u201cOnce Upon a Time in Hollywood,\u201d David Fincher will direct the highly anticipated sequel, \u201cThe Adventures of Cliff Booth,\u201d for Netflix. Elsewhere in the interview, Tarantino said he passed on directing the project because the idea of his 10th and final film being a sequel \u201cunenthused\u201d him.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI love this script, but I\u2019m still walking down the same ground I\u2019ve already walked,\u201d Tarantino said. \u201cIt just kind of unenthused me. This last movie, I\u2019ve got to not know what I\u2019m doing again. I\u2019ve got to be in uncharted territory.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tTarantino also discussed his long-rumored 10th and final film, \u201cThe Movie Critic.\u201d He said the project was ultimately scrapped because it was too similar to his previous work.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI wasn\u2019t really excited about dramatizing what I wrote when I was in pre-production, partly because I\u2019m using the skillset that I learned from \u2018Once Upon a Time in Hollywood\u2019 [of] \u2018How are we going to turn Los Angeles into the Hollywood of 1969 without using CGI?\u2019\u201d he explained. \u201cIt was something we had to pull off. We had to achieve it. It wasn\u2019t for sure that we could do it. \u2026 \u2018The Movie Critic,\u2019 there was nothing to figure out. I already kind of knew, more or less, how to turn L.A. into an older time. It was too much like the last one.\u201d<\/p>\n
