There will be a closure of the emergency department in Thessalon this week due to physician shortages.<\/p>\n
The North Shore Health Network says the emergency room will shut down at 8 a.m. on Thursday, July 2. It\u2019s not scheduled to reopen until 10 p.m. on Friday, July 3.<\/p>\n
A nurse practitioner\u00a0will be\u00a0available on site throughout the closure until the department reopens.<\/p>\n
Anyone requiring immediate medical attention should still call 9-1-1. Ambulances will be re-routed.<\/p>\n
