On the other hand, iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max models sold elsewhere will be using Apple&#8217;s own C2 modem.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline-image\" width=\"1200\" height=\"799\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/1782941890_51_gsmarena_001.jpg\" alt=\"iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will have a complicated modem situation\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Currently, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/apple_iphone_17e-14487.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone 17e<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/apple_iphone_17_air-13502.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone Air<\/a> use Apple modems, while the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/apple_iphone_17-14050.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone 17<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/apple_iphone_17_pro-14049.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone 17 Pro<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/apple_iphone_17_pro_max-13964.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone 17 Pro Max<\/a> use Qualcomm modems. Interestingly, with the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, Apple may be adding support for eSIM in China. Right now iPhones sold in China have two physical SIM card slots, and no eSIM support.<\/p>\n<p>The same documents also reveal that the iPhone 18 Pro is getting a new camera, with a sensor ID of 0x905 compared to the iPhone 17 Pro&#8217;s 0x903. This implies that the iPhone 18 Pro (and the iPhone 18 Pro Max) will be using a new custom developed Sony IMX905 sensor.
