{"id":774584,"date":"2026-07-02T02:55:14","date_gmt":"2026-07-02T02:55:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/774584\/"},"modified":"2026-07-02T02:55:14","modified_gmt":"2026-07-02T02:55:14","slug":"ubisoft-hires-former-amazon-games-chief-christoph-hartmann","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/774584\/","title":{"rendered":"Ubisoft Hires Former Amazon Games Chief Christoph Hartmann"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/ubisoft\/\" id=\"auto-tag_ubisoft\" data-tag=\"ubisoft\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ubisoft<\/a> has appointed former <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/amazon\/\" id=\"auto-tag_amazon\" data-tag=\"amazon\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Amazon<\/a> Games chief <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/christoph-hartmann\/\" id=\"auto-tag_christoph-hartmann\" data-tag=\"christoph-hartmann\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Christoph Hartmann<\/a> as the general manager of Creative House 2, overseeing its strategic direction and long-term portfolio development.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tCreative House 2 is one of the video game company\u2019s Creative Houses that brings together Ubisoft teams and brands such as \u201cTom Clancy\u2019s The Division,\u201d \u201cTom Clancy\u2019s Ghost Recon\u201d and \u201cTom Clancy\u2019s Splinter Cell.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tMultiplayer online battle arena game \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/march-of-giants\/\" id=\"auto-tag_march-of-giants\" data-tag=\"march-of-giants\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">March of Giants<\/a>\u201d will also be joining Creative House 2 after being acquired from Amazon (where it was previously developed by Hartmann and his team) <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2025\/gaming\/news\/amazon-games-sells-march-of-giants-ubisoft-1236608961\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2025\/gaming\/news\/amazon-games-sells-march-of-giants-ubisoft-1236608961\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">by Ubisoft in December.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cChristoph is exactly the kind of leader we needed for Creative House 2 \u2013 a passionate gamer with a proven ability to bring out the best in creative teams and build franchises that last. His experience across development and publishing as well as his management style give him a rare understanding of what it takes to make great games,\u201d said Yves Guillemot, the co-founder and CEO of Ubisoft, in a statement. \u201cI am confident Christoph will elevate our teams and brands to new heights and deepen their connection with the dedicated players who love these franchises.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tHartmann has worked in the video games industry for over two decades, recently as the vice president of Amazon Games.
