UPDATE, 6:07 P.M. SUNDAY: Corporal Dave Noon from the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service of B.C. reported at 5:43 p.m. on X\/Twitter that eastbound Highway 1 through Chilliwack is expected to fully reopen within the hour.<\/p>\n

CHILLIWACK \u2014 All lanes have been closed off for drivers going eastbound on Highway 1 after a car rolled over into a ditch in Chilliwack.<\/p>\n

DriveBC reported the vehicle incident before Prest Road shortly before 1 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 17). The road has now been blocked between exit 123 on Prest and exit 120 on Young Road.<\/p>\n

Witnesses in the area reported three ambulances on the scene, as well as two fire trucks and one RCMP vehicle supporting traffic control.<\/p>\n

CPR was administered to one patient who was pulled out of the vehicle, according to scanner traffic.<\/p>\n

The unit responsible for supporting investigations of crashes that lead to serious injury or death has been deployed.<\/p>\n

Corporal Dave Noon, a forensic collision reconstructionist with the Lower Mainland ICARS, said the closure will remain for several hours with no expected time for reopening.<\/p>\n
