The Season 1 finale of the \u201cYellowstone\u201d spinoff \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d ends with a murder, a kidnapping \u2014 and a pregnancy reveal.\u00a0<\/p>\n

During the episode, titled \u201cEl Padrino,\u201d Joaquin Jackson (Juan Pablo Raba) fatally shoots his adopted brother, Rob-Will Jackson (Jai Courtney), in the head executioner style.\u00a0<\/p>\n
His drug lord father, Mariano Reyes (Raoul Trujillo) orders him to do it, because he\u2019s furious that Joaquin and Rob-Will\u2019s mother Beulah (Annette Bening) named Rob-Will as her successor to take over running her ranch instead of Joaquin.<\/p>\n
Joaquin does the deed in Rob-Will\u2019s own home, leaving Rob-Will\u2019s distraught daughter, Oreana (Natalie Alyn Lind<\/a>) to find his body lying by the front door. <\/p>\n Oreana sees the tail lights on Joaquin\u2019s car as he speeds away, crying, but it\u2019s unclear if she realizes that her uncle was the culprit.\u00a0<\/p>\n Natalie Alyn Lind as Oreanna Jackson and Finn Little as Carter (pictured in \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d) were involved, but it\u2019s unclear if he\u2019s the father of her baby. Lauren Smith\/Paramount+<\/p>\n Rob-Will (pictured in \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d) was Oreana\u2019s father, and she finds him dead. Emerson Miller\/Paramount+<\/p>\n To make matters worse for her, Oreana also discovers that she\u2019s pregnant. \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d doesn\u2019t make it clear who the father is. It could be Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip\u2019s (Cole Hauser) adopted son, Carter (Finn Little), since the two were involved. <\/p>\n But, Oreana was also dating other men before and after Carter.\u00a0It seems like the show will reveal that in Season 2.\u00a0<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Carter has bigger problems than a possible unplanned pregnancy. At the end of the episode, Mariano has his henchmen kidnap Carter to provoke Beth and Rip.\u00a0<\/p>\n Carter (pictured with Oreana in \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d) gets kidnapped in the Season 1 finale, to provoke his adopted parents, Beth and Rip. Emerson Miller\/Paramount+<\/p>\n Beth had been working for Annette Bening\u2019s Beulah Jackson (pictured in \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d). Emerson Miller\/Paramount+<\/p>\n During the episode, Beth and Rip \u2013 who had been working for Joaquin and Rob-Will\u2019s mother, Beulah Jackson, at her 10 Petal Ranch \u2013 discover that the Jacksons have been using their cattle to smuggle fentanyl from Mexico to the United States.\u00a0<\/p>\n Apparently \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d is now \u201cEuphoria.\u201d<\/a> Beth and Rip find around $2 million worth of packets of the drug sewn inside the cows.\u00a0<\/p>\n They meet with Beulah, who confesses that she had been doing this work for Mariano, and was trying to get out of it. Both of her sons knew about it.<\/p>\n Beth (pictured in \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d) is furious to learn that the Jacksons were using cattle to smuggle drugs. Emerson Miller\/Paramount+<\/p>\n Rip (pictured in \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d) and Beth return the drugs, but Mariano is still angry they got involved in his business. Emerson Miller\/Paramount+<\/p>\n \u201cDid you think we wouldn\u2019t find out?\u201d a furious Beth tells Beulah. \u201cYou\u2019re filling cattle with fentanyl and dragging them across the border?\u00a0 Are you out of your f\u2013king mind?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n Although Rip and Beth return the drugs to Beulah, Mariano is still angry that they got involved in his business.\u00a0<\/p>\n In retaliation for meddling in his drug trafficking business, Mariano sends henchmen after Rip and Beth. They creep up to Rip and Beth\u2019s ranch at night, with guns.\u00a0<\/p>\n Rip (pictured with Carter in \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d) defends his ranch from Mariano\u2019s henchmen. Emerson Miller\/Paramount+<\/p>\n Season 1 ends with Beth and Rip (pictured in \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d) finding out that Carter got kidnapped. Emerson Miller\/Paramount+<\/p>\n During the shoot-out against the gunmen, Rip is aided by his ranch hands, Zachariah (Marc Menchaca)<\/a> and Azul (R.R. Villarreal), and his friend, Everett (Ed Harris).\u00a0<\/p>\n Rip and Beth win, killing Mariano\u2019s henchmen, but in response, Mariano then kidnaps Carter.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThey don\u2019t want Carter, they want us,\u201d says Rip.\u00a0Season 1 ends with Beth saying, \u201cThey\u2019re gonna f\u2013ing get us.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n Zachariah and Azul (pictured in \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d with Rip and Beth) help Rip and Beth defend themselves from Mariano\u2019s henchmen. Emerson Miller\/Paramount+<\/p>\n Carter (pictured in \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d) is kidnapped and left to an unknown fate at the end of Season 1. Lauren \u00e2Lo\u00e2 Smith\/Paramount+<\/p>\n During its first season, \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d followed Rip and Beth after the events of cowboy drama \u201cYellowstone,\u201d which starred Kevin Costner as Beth\u2019s now-deceased father.<\/p>\n In \u201cDutton Ranch,\u201d Rip and Beth move from Montana to Texas, and become entangled with the Jackson family.\u00a0<\/p>\n In May, executive producer Christina Alexandra Voros told Page Six <\/a>that Beth and Rip are looking for peace, but \u201cwar keeps coming to their doorstep.\u201d<\/p>\n On June 24, Paramount renewed the show for a Season 2, hailing it as the biggest debut in Paramount+ history.\u00a0Per the network, it drew nearly 13 million viewers during its first week streaming, and nearly 3 million viewers airing on Paramount Network, making it the biggest series premiere on cable since 2023.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d with Hauser (pictured) has been renewed for a Season 2. Emerson Miller\/Paramount+<\/p>\n \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d with Hauser (pictured) ousted the Season 1 showrunner, so Season 2 will need a new showrunner. Emerson Miller\/Paramount+<\/p>\n \u201cYellowstone\u201d creator Taylor Sheridan<\/a> produced the show, but the Season 1 showrunner was Chad Feehan.
