In a shocking incident captured on video, a driver at the intersection of Kennedy Road and Sandalwood Parkway in Brampton narrowly avoided hitting a firefighter at a crash scene. On June 27, a pickup truck driver ignored the barriers set by fire trucks and emergency vehicles and entered the intersection, almost striking a firefighter. The driver then collided with a police cruiser. Fortunately, no one was injured, and the driver remained on the scene.<\/p>\n
Peel police have since charged the driver, described as an older gentleman, with careless driving. Despite the absence of alcohol or drugs, Peel police media officer Tyler Bell emphasized the severity of the incident, stating, \u201cThis is some pretty scary stuff and it\u2019s inexcusable.\u201d Such incidents highlight the critical need for drivers to remain vigilant and cautious when approaching emergency scenes.<\/p>\n
