The Jury, a star-studded British crime drama that premiered in 2002 before getting a second season in 2011, is set to leave Netflix soon. The last day to watch it is 21 July, a year after it was added to the streaming service.<\/p>\n

Written by The Crow’s Peter Morgan, the show’s two series each focus on a different criminal trial, placing attention on the jury members rather than the defence and prosecution. <\/p>\n

The Jury also made history by being the first production allowed to film inside the Old Bailey.<\/p>\n

In terms of cast, series 1 features How to Train Your Dragon’s Gerard Butler, The Iron Lady’s Nicholas Farrell, Penny Dreadful’s Helen McCrory, Screw’s Nina Sosanya, Last Tango in Halifax’s Derek Jacobi, EastEnders’s Nitin Ganatra, Coronation Street’s Connor McIntyre, Benidorm’s Tim Healy, and Dune: Prophecy’s Mark Strong.<\/p>\n

The cast for series 2 includes Pennyworth’s Sarah Alexander, The Thick of It’s Roger Allam, Years and Years’s Anne Reid, Rocketman’s Steven Mackintosh, comedian Meera Syal, Game of Thrones’s Rory McCann, and Mamma Mia’s Julie Walters.<\/p>\n

Billed by Netflix as “unmissable”, the show has a pretty strong average user score of 7.6\/10 from more than 1,300 user ratings on IMDb<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Fans have praised the performances of the big-name cast, as well as how The Jury shows a different side to the court process than most dramas do.<\/p>\n

Sadly, The Jury isn’t the only thing leaving Netflix soon. Olivia Colman’s drama Joyride is set to depart at the end of July<\/a>, while BBC shows Bad Education and Normal People are being removed in about 10 days’ time.<\/p>\n
