The Japanese magazine celebrated the occasion by asking its readers to participate in a new survey about all sorts of questions, including the most influential game, their favorite character, and more.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>After the <a href=\"https:\/\/nintendoeverything.com\/japanese-gamers-vote-on-most-influential-game-and-series-favorite-character-favorite-developer-more\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">results were published<\/a>, we learned that Nintendo was chosen as the top developer. The company ended up sharing a message with the fans to thank them for the selection, which we\u2019ve now translated.<\/p>\n<p>The full message reads:<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for choosing Nintendo as the No. 1 \u201cGame Developer I Like\u201d. We are also extremely happy that Mario and The Legend of Zelda have been received favorably. Ever since the Famicom (NES) was released in 1983, we have created chances for many to give video games a try, and we are grateful to Famitsu for keeping customers excited and supporting us across those 40 years.<\/p>\n<p>During these 40 years, technology related to game development has evolved, and the environment has changed as well, but we have continued to keep \u201coriginality\u201d as our central theme, going through trial and error and learning many things while creating entertainment with the goal of putting smiles on customers\u2019 faces. If this 40-year-long path has become a part of everyone\u2019s memories, there is nothing that would make us happier. Nintendo will continue to challenge various things, aiming for unique entertainment that only we could produce, and work hard towards that goal.
