It is located south of Compass Lake, and west of Lady Evelyn Smoothwater Provincial Park. Aerial fire suppression efforts were underway this afternoon, as two Twin Otters and a lead birddog aircraft were on site. One FireRanger crew is responding.&#13;<br \/>\n\tWawa 5 is approximately 29 kilometres north of Dubreuilville, near the eastern shore of Anahareo Lake. It is being held at 0.1 of a hectare.&#13;<br \/>\n\tNorth Bay 15 is near the eastern shore of Tretheway Lake within Lady Evelyn Smoothwater Provincial Park. It measures 1.5 hectares. Two FireRanger crews are assigned to this newly confirmed fire.&#13;<br \/>\n\tCochrane 27 was confirmed this afternoon approximately 30 kilometres westsouthwest of Ghost Lake, in the Far North. It is being observed at 342 hectares.&#13;<br \/>\n\tCochrane 28 was confirmed this afternoon along the western shore of the Rocksand River, in the Far North. It is being observed at 763 hectares.&#13;<br \/>\n\tCochrane 29 was confirmed this afternoon approximately 14 kilometres west of the Severn River, in the Far North. It is being observed at 42.4 hectares.&#13;<br \/>\n\tCochrane 30 and 31 were confirmed this afternoon at 1,584.2 hectares and 5.1 hectares respectively, in the Far North. These two fires are being observed north of the Usiske River.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>There are currently 32 active wildland fires in the Northeast Region. In order to dispose of yard waste and woody debris, we encourage you to use methods such as composting or using your local landfill. If you must burn, follow Ontario\u2019s Outdoor Burning Regulations.\u202f<\/p>\n<p>Fires are to be ignited no sooner than two hours before sunset and are to be extinguished no later than two hours after sunrise. Always have tools\/water adequate to contain the fire at the site.
