TNT Sports and DAZN will collaborate to deliver\u00a0an action-packed Independence Day weekend of boxing coverage,\u00a0highlighted by the inaugural edition of The Fight, featuring hometown champion Abdullah Mason defending his WBO Lightweight World Championship against unbeaten fellow Ohio native Albert Bell in an all-Ohio showdown\u00a0on Saturday, July 4, live from the Wolstein Center in Cleveland.<\/p>\n
Fight Week officially begins\u00a0on Thursday, July 2, as Mason and Bell come face-to-face for the first time ahead of Saturday night’s championship showdown during the final press conference at 2 p.m. ET\u00a0on truTV. Fans can hear from both fighters, their teams and event officials as anticipation builds for the Independence Day title fight.<\/p>\n
The road to fight night reaches its final checkpoint on Friday, July 3, as Mason, Bell and the rest of Saturday’s card step onto the scales during the official weigh-in at 1 p.m.\u00a0on truTV.\u00a0<\/p>\n
On Saturday, ahead of The Fight, TNT and truTV will premiere Bout Camp\u00a0at 7 p.m., a 30-minute all-access show taking fans inside the training camp of WBO Lightweight Champion Abdullah Mason. Weeks into Mason\u2019s preparation to fight former champion, Welshman Joe Cordina, an unforeseen issue forces a change in opponents. Now Mason must adjust to defend his title against contender Albert Bell, who brings an entirely different fighting style to the ring. Bout Camp\u00a0covers it all, as the two men prepare to clash in Cleveland on the Fourth of July.<\/p>\n
Live fight coverage begins at 7:30 p.m. ET\u00a0on TNT\u00a0and truTV\u00a0with the Ringside\u00a0pre-match show, hosted by Adam Lefkoe\u00a0alongside an all-star studio team featuring five-division world champion and pound-for-pound great Terence Crawford, Hall of Fame inductee and two-division world champion Timothy Bradley Jr., and former welterweight world champion Shawn Porter. Together, they’ll deliver expert analysis, exclusive insights and comprehensive breakdowns throughout the evening and ahead of the night’s championship bouts.<\/p>\n
At 8 p.m., coverage shifts to the ring on TNT, truTV\u00a0and DAZN, where Todd Grisham\u00a0will handle play-by-play alongside analyst Sergio Mora, with Chris Mannix\u00a0serving as reporter and analyst throughout the evening.<\/p>\n
The July 4 card also features WBC Featherweight World Champion Bruce “Shu Shu” Carrington defending his title against Mexico’s Rene Palacios, along with Cleveland native and unbeaten welterweight Tiger Johnson\u00a0facing fellow undefeated contender Christopher Guerrero, and undefeated lightweight knockout artist Deric “Scooter” Davis\u00a0taking on Carlos Ramos.<\/p>\n
