A name is quietly rising among the Montreal Canadiens’ prospects.<\/p>\n
Those compliments came from Zachary Fucale. The former Montreal Canadiens goaltender shared his thoughts on young forward Zharovsky.<\/p>\n
And Fucale pointed to one revealing detail. A fact that says a lot about Zharovsky’s talent.<\/p>\n
The youngster was playing on his team’s power play in the KHL at just 18 years old. A rare accomplishment in a professional league.<\/p>\n
“You don’t have many 18-year old players on the powerplay in the KHL.<\/p>\n
To be in that situation, he has the abilities”<\/p>\n

Fucale’s reasoning makes perfect sense. Entrusting a 17- or 18-year-old with power-play duties in the KHL is almost unheard of.<\/p>\n
A coach doesn’t make that decision lightly. The talent has to be undeniable to earn that kind of trust.<\/p>\n
Zharovsky was selected 34th overall in the 2025 NHL Draft. A second-round pick the Canadiens are heavily invested in today, and one that is quickly starting to look like a steal for Montreal.<\/p>\n
Fucale’s comments add even more credibility to those who are already saying Zharovsky is a home run.<\/p>\n
A former member of the organization who understands the development process appears to agree.<\/p>\n
Zharovsky is already fitting in very well with the group.<\/p>\n
