Sky Sports reporter\u00a0Martin Brundle was left stumbling over his words at the British Grand Prix on Sunday (July 5) after an awkward interview with Notting Hill<\/a> actor Hugh Grant<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Brundle, a former Formula One racer, pulled Grant aside for a quick chat during his grid walk at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. \u201cYou\u2019re with Ferrari today, aren\u2019t you, I believe?\u201d Brundle asked the Heretic<\/a> star, who said he\u2019s a \u201cbig Ferrari fan\u201d and was invited to the race alongside two of his sons.<\/p>\n

So far so good, but then things took a turn for the cringeworthy when Brundle asked, \u201cAre you doing another round of The Gentlemen<\/a> soon, because I really loved that?\u201d Grant didn\u2019t hear the question and had to lean in for Brundle to repeat himself.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Gentlemen,\u201d the broadcaster repeated. \u201cAre you doing another series of The Gentlemen?\u201d<\/p>\n

Brundle was referring to Guy Ritchie<\/a>\u2018s 2024 Netflix series, The Gentlemen, an action-comedy based on the 2019 film of the same name. The only problem was that Grant was only in the film version, but did not appear in the Netflix spinoff series.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, I did the film of The Gentleman,\u201d Grant explained. \u201cI haven\u2019t seen the TV series.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, right,\u201d a flustered Brundle replied. \u201cIt\u2019s really good. You really must.\u201d He then quickly wrapped up the interview, saying, \u201cI\u2019ve got ten seconds left\u2026 \u00a0good to see you on the grid.\u201d<\/p>\n

A confused-looking Grant then shuffled away.<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time the BAFTA-winning actor has been caught up in an awkward interview situation. In 2023, Grant\u2019s blunt responses<\/a> to model Ashley Graham<\/a> on the Oscars red carpet went viral. At one point in the interview, Graham asked, \u201cWhat are you wearing?\u201d to which Grant responded, \u201cMy suit.\u201d<\/p>\n

Things only grew more awkward from there when Graham asked, \u201cWhat was it like to be in Glass Onion<\/a>? How fun is it to shoot something like that?\u201d<\/p>\n

Grant replied, \u201cWell, I\u2019m barely in it. I was in it for about three seconds.\u201d<\/p>\n

That same year, Grant was asked by reporters<\/a> at a press conference about his role as an Oompa-Loompa in the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory<\/a> sequel. \u201cIt was like a crown of thorns,\u201d Grant said, referring to the process of the animators rendering his image. \u201cVery uncomfortable\u2026 I made a big fuss about it. I couldn\u2019t have hated the whole thing more.\u201d<\/p>\n
