People can fix broken items for free at an upcoming event in Brampton.<\/p>\n
Brampton Library\u2019s Repair Cafe returns this Saturday, the library said in a press release.<\/p>\n
Residents are encouraged to bring small appliances, jewelry, bicycles, computers and other electronics in need of repair for free repair services from volunteers at the event.<\/p>\n
Everyone is welcome to learn how to fix their old and broken items.<\/p>\n
No registration required, but participants who bring a broken item for fixing must sign in their item and complete a waiver form.<\/p>\n
Due to time constraints, the library requests that participants bring one item each.<\/p>\n
People can also bring e-waste and donate old devices, including laptops, for on-site wiping and redirection to community members in need.<\/p>\n
The Tech Collect station will also safely dispose of and recycle metal waste. There is no limit on the number of items for Tech Collect.<\/p>\n
