{"id":784638,"date":"2026-07-06T21:05:15","date_gmt":"2026-07-06T21:05:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/784638\/"},"modified":"2026-07-06T21:05:15","modified_gmt":"2026-07-06T21:05:15","slug":"crosby-studios-abstracts-the-geometries-of-soccer-in-home-of-football-home-away","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/784638\/","title":{"rendered":"Crosby Studios abstracts the geometries of soccer in Home of Football: Home &#038; Away"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In New York, the World Cup frenzy meets its design-forward match.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/crosbystudios.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Crosby Studios,<\/a>\u00a0the design practice by Harry Nuriev, explores <a href=\"https:\/\/www.archpaper.com\/tag\/soccer\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">soccer<\/a>\u2019s (or, for some, football\u2019s) cultural impact in a new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.archpaper.com\/tag\/exhibitions\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">exhibition<\/a>.\u00a0Home of Football: Home &amp; Away\u00a0was created in collaboration with Home of Football and curatorial collective Air Afrique. Located at High Line 9 and open through July 19, the show blends archival paraphernalia with the studio\u2019s signature immersive and metallic world. The installation also marks the studios\u2019 new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.archpaper.com\/tag\/retail\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">retail<\/a> concept which will continue to evolve in future projects.<\/p>\n<p>The installation is divided into six chapters, spanning sports, art, fashion, design, and the ways they intersect. Behind a textured, metallic facade, a bright green world awaits inside. Through an entry of rounded walls, wall-to-wall green carpeting recalls a soccer field.
