{"id":784769,"date":"2026-07-06T22:33:09","date_gmt":"2026-07-06T22:33:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/784769\/"},"modified":"2026-07-06T22:33:09","modified_gmt":"2026-07-06T22:33:09","slug":"scarborough-shooting-one-dead-one-rushed-to-hospital","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/784769\/","title":{"rendered":"Scarborough shooting: One dead, one rushed to hospital"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police say that one person is dead and another has been rushed to hospital via emergency run after a shooting in Scarborough on Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police say that they were first dispatched to the Victoria Park Avenue and Highway 401 area at around 3:20 p.m. for a reported shooting. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Footage from the scene shows a significant police presence outside an apartment building on Terraview Boulevard, which is located immediately south of Victoria Park Avenue and Highway 401. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Multiple evidence markers are visible on the roadway in the footage. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police say that one person was pronounced deceased at the scene. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/OOOP2NP6TFF6RJODM2DF4BQ6IU.jpeg\"  width=\"800\" height=\"600\"\/>Shooting Police are shown outside a bank branch near Sheppard and Victoria Park avenues on July 6. (CP24) <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Another victim was located nearby at Victoria Park and Sheppard avenues, police say.
