{"id":785837,"date":"2026-07-07T10:22:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-07T10:22:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/785837\/"},"modified":"2026-07-07T10:22:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-07T10:22:08","slug":"elon-musk-says-optimus-ai-will-enable-excellent-healthcare-tesla-nasdaqtsla","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/785837\/","title":{"rendered":"Elon Musk Says Optimus, AI Will Enable &#8216;Excellent&#8217; Healthcare &#8211; Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Elon Musk Touts Optimus-Fueled Healthcare<\/p>\n<p class=\"block core-block\">On Monday, Musk quoted a post on X by influencer Peter Diamandis who shared a clip of Musk talking about how humanoid robots with \u201cvery high dexterity\u201d could enable \u201caccess to better medical care than the richest person on Earth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"block core-block\">\u201cAI+Optimus will enable universal excellent healthcare that is better than anyone receives today,\u201d he said in the post, reaffirming <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/news\/topics\/26\/06\/60085719\/elon-musk-says-great-doctors-and-surgeons-dont-grow-on-trees-but-now-theyll-get-built-in-factories-robots-will-solve-what-money-can\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Optimus\u2019 medical applications<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"block core-block\">Notably, Musk recently announced that the Fremont, California facility <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/markets\/tech\/26\/07\/60209589\/elon-musk-says-teslas-model-s-model-x-line-is-now-building-optimus-robots\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">had successfully transitioned<\/a> to produce Optimus units following the Tesla Model S, X sunset earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"block core-block\">Tesla\u2019s VP of Vehicle Engineering, Lars Moravy, also said that the company would have as many as 40 production lines to produce the Humanoid robot at scale.<\/p>\n<p>Cathie Wood Touts $50 Billion Investment<\/p>\n<p class=\"block core-block\">Investor Cathie Wood-led ARK Invest shared its insight into the future of humanoid robots and AI, saying that the technology should \u201ccreate new jobs\u201d rather than replace existing ones, but added that new technologies always coincide with fears about job losses, citing the emergence of the Internet as an example.<\/p>\n<p class=\"block core-block\">\u201cUS labor productivity has compounded at ~2.1% annually since the commercial tractor\u2019s debut. Real disposable income has grown at a ~3.2% annualized rate over the postwar period,\u201d the post said, adding that the sector could grow \u201cmeaningfully\u201d within the next decade.<\/p>\n<p class=\"block core-block\">Ark then said there was a caveat in the form of the intricate and complex nature of humanoid robots. \u201cA humanoid robot is 200,000 times more complex than a robotaxi,\u201d Ark said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"block core-block\">The firm also said that an investment of approximately $50 billion in compute was needed to help the technology reach \u201chuman-level task proficiency.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"block core-block\">\u201cTesla\u2019s Optimus could approach that threshold around 2028. China is pushing hard to get there first,\u201d Ark said, backing Optimus.<\/p>\n<p>AI Job Losses<\/p>\n<p class=\"block core-block\">According to Benzinga Edge Rankings, Tesla offers excellent Growth, while also offering satisfactory Quality and Momentum.
