How exactly do you describe the precise meaning of \u201cthat wasn\u2019t very skibidi rizz of you\u201d or \u201cAs Gen Z say, I\u2019ve entered my \u2018delulu era?\u2019\u201d\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmegwa83q0003356n0qu9b19o@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Well, the Cambridge Dictionary defines skibidi as \u201ca word that can have different meanings such as \u2018cool\u2019 or \u2018bad,\u2019 or can be used with no real meaning as a joke\u201d and delulu as a \u201cplay on the word delusional, means \u2018believing things that are not real or true, usually because you choose to.\u2019\u201d\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmegwa83q0004356nvaj0ft6h@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Skibidi was first coined by the creator of \u201cSkibidi Toilet,\u201d a viral, nonsensical, animated YouTube series that depicts human heads emerging from toilets.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmegwa83r0005356n9awuyv8v@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Delulu, meanwhile, emerged about a decade ago as a way to rebuke particularly obsessive K-pop fans, but it has since become a more general way of saying \u201cdelusional\u201d online.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmegwa83r0006356ney20caep@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            It was brought into the offline mainstream in March when Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese dropped the phrase \u201cthey are delulu with no solulu\u201d during a speech in Parliament, after two podcast hosts dared him to use it.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmegwa83r0007356nts3gx7td@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            \u201cIt\u2019s not every day you get to see words like skibidi and delulu make their way into the Cambridge Dictionary,\u201d said Colin McIntosh, the dictionary\u2019s lexical program manager.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmegwa83r0008356n8izqt2ot@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            \u201cWe only add words where we think they\u2019ll have staying power. Internet culture is changing the English language and the effect is fascinating to observe and capture in the Dictionary.\u201d\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmegwa83r0009356n8iccm2ua@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Other words added by the dictionary include \u201ctradwife\u201d \u2013 an abbreviated form of \u201ctraditional wife\u201d used to describe influencers who glorify that role \u2013 and \u201cbroligarchy,\u201d a mashup of bro and oligarchy, which referenced the tech leaders who attended US President Donald Trump\u2019s inauguration in January.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmegwa83r000a356n63a47cfn@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Language changes in more ways than simply developing new words. Pre-existing phrases or words have also picked up new meanings, which are now reflected in the dictionary.
