However, the benchmark price still fell 6% year over year, with detached homes and condos both down more than 7%.<\/p>\n<p>That softness echoes CMP&#8217;s coverage of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mpamag.com\/ca\/mortgage-industry\/market-updates\/metro-vancouver-home-sales-slip-as-condo-market-cools-in-may\/577442\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Metro Vancouver&#8217;s cooling condo market in May<\/a>, where Greater Vancouver Realtors economist Andrew Lis described a market tracking closely to forecast, with &#8220;no obvious near-term catalysts&#8221; to shift conditions in either direction.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mpamag.com\/ca\/mortgage-industry\/market-updates\/calgary-home-sales-slip-in-june-as-migration-pullback-dampens-demand\/581144\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Calgary told a steadier story<\/a>.
