{"id":787138,"date":"2026-07-08T00:08:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-08T00:08:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/787138\/"},"modified":"2026-07-08T00:08:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-08T00:08:08","slug":"police-investigating-shots-fired-in-cloverdale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/787138\/","title":{"rendered":"Police investigating shots fired in Cloverdale"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>              Police investigating shots fired in Cloverdale<\/p>\n<p class=\"pubStamp\">Published 4:00 pm Tuesday, July 7, 2026<\/p>\n<p>Shots were fired at a home in Cloverdale early in the morning July 7.<\/p>\n<p>The Surrey Police Service (SPS) says the shooting may be extortion-related.<\/p>\n<p>In a press release sent out by SPS media relations officer Staff Sergeant Lindsey Houghton, police say the shooting occurred at a residence near 165th Street and 58th Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dSPS was called by a homeowner of a residence in the 16500-block 58th Avenue that they had found what they believed to be gunshot damage to their residence,\u201d Houghton noted in the release. \u201cSPS Frontline officers responded and confirmed damage to the exterior of the residence was caused by gunfire at 2:51 am on July 7, 2026.
