Three riders will represent the ARA Australian Cycling Team at the 2026 UCI Mountain Bike Marathon World Championships in Italy.<\/p>\n
The squad, announced today by the AusCycling National Selection Panel, will compete in Primiero San Martino di Castrozza,\u00a0Italy on September 12.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Elite men\u2019s national champion James Kelly returns for his second World Championships after making his debut last year in Switzerland.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Joining Kelly will be multi-discipline rider Tasman Nankervis, who is no stranger to competing at the international level. <\/p>\n
The Bendigo rider represented Australia in XCO as an under-23 rider, but this September\u2019s event will be his first elite cap at a UCI World Championships.<\/p>\n
Rounding out the team is West Australian Hayden James, who will make his debut appearance in the green and gold.<\/p>\n
Joel Green was also selected, but withdrew from the team.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Selection Panel did not receive any expressions of interest for the elite women\u2019s event. <\/p>\n
