Retired tennis star Eugenie Bouchard\u00a0got the royal treatment at Wimbledon 2026. <\/p>\n

The 32-year-old Canadian, who\u00a0retired from tennis last July,<\/a> shared some of the behind-the-scenes of her experience in the tournament\u2019s Royal Box \u2014 a exclusive, invite-only seating area at Centre Court reserved for VIPs, such as the British Royal Family, government officials, tennis champions, and celebrities.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat an honour to be invited to the Royal Box. Every time I played on this court I always looked up to see who was there. Never thought I would sit in the box myself one day,\u201d Bouchard, who reached the Wimbledon Championships singles final at age 20 in 2014, wrote. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt was as perfect as you\u2019d imagine! The company, the tea break, and of course the tennis. Thank you Deborah & @wimbledon,\u201d she wrote, referring to All England Club Chair Deborah Jevans.<\/p>\n

Bouchard was also at this year\u2019s tournament working, as she provided commentary for BBC Sport. <\/p>\n

Taking to her Instagram Story, Bouchard gushed over the facilities at Wimbledon. <\/p>\n

\u201cFirst time back since I was a player!\u201d she wrote. \u201cAmazing new facilities @wimbledon.\u201d <\/p>\n

Bouchard juggled fame and\u00a0social media stardom<\/a>\u00a0after reaching the Wimbledon final. <\/p>\n
