Pat Cash delighted fans by making a surprise appearance with his rarely seen sons at Wimbledon this week.

The Australian tennis legend, 61, who won the singles title at the London tournament in 1987, took to Instagram to say that it had been “special” to have them by his side.

“Special to have my sons with me at @wimbledon today,” the commentator penned alongside a photograph of the trio inside the All England Club.

The Melburnian has been a regular attendee of the prestigious tournament since joining the BBC as a tennis pundit shortly after retiring from the sport in 1998.

“Wow, that’s one good looking family,” one person commented on Cash’s Instagram post, while another said it was “very special” to see the father and sons together.

Earlier in the week, Cash was joined at the tournament by his girlfriend, singer and massage therapist Charlotte Hodson, 54.

The former world number four has been in a relationship with Hodson for a few years, and previously said she was the “love of his life”.

“I don’t know if we’ll go down the marriage route, but she’s the love of my life that’s for sure,” he told The Mirror.

“It’s taken me all these years to find the woman of my dreams. Not that the other women weren’t fantastic, but she’s very special.”

Cash was previously married to Emily Bendit from 1990 to 2002, and the ex-couple shares twin sons Shannon and Jett, 31, the latter of whom is also a tennis player.

Cash also has two older children, Mia and Daniel, from his relationship with Norwegian model Anne-Britt Kristiansen.

The Aussie legend has credited his four children with “saving” his life after opening up about a difficult period where he struggled with depression.

“If it wasn’t for my kids, I might have killed myself,” Cash told The Guardian in 2024.

Cash explained that he “suffered from severe depression from the age of 19 until 35” and experimented with drugs.

“It’s no secret I experimented with drugs when I was younger, but the real issue was why I felt the need to,” he confessed.

“It was down to the stress I was under playing for my country, the expectations I put on myself and the expectations people put on me.

He checked himself into rehab in 1999 and said his mental health improved after he retired from tennis.

During his career, Cash secured two Davis Cups, six singles titles and seven doubles titles.

Pat Cash delighted fans by making a surprise appearance with his rarely seen sons at Wimbledon this week.…

[442
2840,49,48,279002,82,593,614
post-789897","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-tennis","tag-australia","tag-ca","tag-canada","tag-pat-cash","tag-sports","tag-tennis","tag-wimbledon
["GET
