Pvolve<\/p>\n<p>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/article\/pvolve-review\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">I tried Jennifer Aniston\u2019s go-to Pvolve workout<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Jen\u2019s been working with Coleman for four and a half years and raved to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allure.com\/story\/jennifer-aniston-workout-aging-interview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Allure<\/a> that she \u201cabsolutely loves\u201d their Pvolve sessions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn all the workouts I\u2019ve tried over the years, this one has transformed my body more than any of the others, and it\u2019s a really enjoyable workout that I don\u2019t feel intimidated by, that I don\u2019t dread,\u201d she told <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/jennifer-aniston-workout-special-drink-morning-pvolv-exclusive-8768346\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">People<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>So what, exactly, are they doing together?<\/p>\n<p>The Pvolve method has three signature formats, Coleman explained: strength and sculpt, sculpt and burn, and progressive weight training.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re a functional fitness method, which just means we move your bodies in all the ways you do in everyday life \u2014 so think front to back, sideways and also rotationally,\u201d she explained. \u201cWe use really unique resistance equipment to build overall strength, mobility and stability.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That equipment includes the P.ball \u2014 a combo resistance band\/Pilates ball \u2014\u00a0plus resistance bands, hand weights, a slant board to step on, and ankle weights and bands.<\/p>\n<p>They do cardiovascular exercises, mobility and stability work, and strength training with heavy weights to build lean muscle mass. Pvolve<\/p>\n<p>Sessions with Jen are usually 40 minutes to an hour, three times a week \u2014 or as much as her schedule allows.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe most beautiful thing about our sessions is we tap into a little bit of everything,\u201d Coleman went on. <\/p>\n<p>That means cardiovascular exercises, mobility and stability work, and strength training with heavy weights to build lean muscle mass \u2014 a big priority for Jen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStrength training is the most important thing for women in their 50s,\u201d the actress told Allure. \u201cIf you lose muscle, your bones get brittle \u2014 osteoporosis. We fall down, we break a hip, and that\u2019s a wrap.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That certainly doesn\u2019t seem to be a problem she\u2019ll face anytime soon, as anyone who\u2019s seen red carpet photos of her could attest. But her trainer can definitely vouch for her strength, too.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStrength training is the most important thing for women in their 50s,\u201d said Jen. Pvolve<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m consistently impressed with her workout standard,\u201d Coleman said. Her core, in particular, is \u201cincredibly strong\u201d and \u201cpretty bulletproof\u201d \u2014\u00a0Jen hasn\u2019t met a plank she couldn\u2019t finish.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI put her through so many fun ways to work your core, like standing on one leg, lifting things overhead, crunches on our P.ball or working with our P3 trainer on the mat,\u201d she went on. \u201cBut yes, she can hold a plank.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHer core strength, forever and ever, is something that I am in awe of as her trainer,\u201d Coleman added, but noted that she\u2019s really just \u201cstrong head to toe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe\u2019s really learned to work smarter, not harder,\u201d Coleman said. Other times, if her schedule is really busy, we do a little bit more mobility and a stretch to meet her body where it\u2019s at. And what I value about her is she really values consistency over intensity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jen concurs, telling <a href=\"https:\/\/www.womenshealthmag.com\/fitness\/a44094025\/jennifer-aniston-pvolve-workout-diet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Women\u2019s Health<\/a> last year: \u201cI don\u2019t put the pressure on myself like I used to.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe think we have to work out for the solid hour and that can be a bit intimidating,\u201d she said. \u201cYou really can get an efficient workout with just a good 20 minutes if that\u2019s all the time you have, even 10 minutes of doing something that gets your body moving.
