the two men who made the first flight through the skies from the American continent to European soil.<\/p>\n<p>And those intrepid men, John Alcock and Arthur Whitten Brown landed in a bog between Ballyconneely and Clifden in 1919.<\/p>\n<p>The Connemara Chamber of Commerce has announced that the memorial to the pioneering airmen is being looked at in a modern perspective.<\/p>\n<p>What is described as an Augmented Reality concept is being looked at to bring the flight to life at the landing area in Derrygimblagh Bog.<\/p>\n<p>The proposed experience would blend immersive storytelling with new technology which would allow visitors to the site to follow the first flight from Newfoundland to Connemara on their phones.<\/p>\n<p>A 3D Augmented Reality Model of the Vickers Vimy aircraft
