That\u2019s a reduction of $16 or 64% off.<\/p>\n<p>Now, this change doesn\u2019t come out of the blue. The CRTC has been going after Big 3 telecoms over junk fees, and in its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iphoneincanada.ca\/2026\/06\/17\/crtc-rogers-new-fees-illegal\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">latest letter addressed to Rogers, the Commission questioned<\/a> the telecom\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iphoneincanada.ca\/2026\/06\/16\/rogers-fido-new-40-device-setup-fee-crtc\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">$40 device fee<\/a> and $25 shipping fee.<\/p>\n<p>It wasn\u2019t just Rogers that the CRTC has been targeting lately. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iphoneincanada.ca\/2026\/06\/15\/crtc-bell-telus-warning-new-wireless-fees\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Both Telus and Bell also received stern letters warning<\/a> about new device and SIM card fees.<\/p>\n<p>If you buy an iPhone from Apple, shipping to your door is free. Rogers used to offer free shipping, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iphoneincanada.ca\/2024\/09\/16\/rogers-charging-25-shipping-fee-iphone-16-telus-bell\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">but two years ago it started charging $25 for shipping that started with the iPhone 16<\/a>.
