Across our community, too many families face barriers to accessing veterinary care. Rising costs, limited appointment availability, and a shortage of veterinary professionals have made routine wellness care increasingly difficult to access.<\/p>\n
The Community Animal Health Centre was created to help change that.<\/p>\n
Offering wellness-focused veterinary services at approximately 50% below market rates, the clinic provides preventative care that helps pets stay healthy while making veterinary services more affordable for thousands of families. The centre is expected to provide between $1.5 and $2 million annually in below-market-rate veterinary care, significantly expanding access to essential services.<\/p>\n

The Community Animal Health Centre is the first step in Toronto Humane Society\u2019s long-term vision to create a network of community-based veterinary services that make care more accessible.<\/p>\n
Located just minutes from our headquarters at 11 River Street, the new clinic expands our capacity to serve more pets and families while complementing the programs and services already offered through Toronto Humane Society.<\/p>\n
Every wellness appointment, vaccination, and microchip represents an opportunity to prevent illness, reduce unnecessary surrender, and strengthen the bond between people and their pets.<\/p>\n
As demand for affordable veterinary care continues to grow, expanding access isn\u2019t simply about opening another clinic\u2014it\u2019s about building healthier communities where pets and people can thrive together.<\/p>\n
