Polish tennis champ Iga \u015awi\u0105tek<\/a> shared a glimpse of her tropical getaway with fans on Thursday, after being defeated by Alex Eala at Wimbledon<\/a> on July 4. The 25-year-old was glowing as she floated on a blow-up lounge in crystal clear waters, clad in a striped bikini.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Iga also shared a photo of herself reading by the beach, and another snap of her holding a stray kitten by the ocean. She wrapped up her Instagram<\/a> carousel with a selfie alongside her friend, complete with a wide smile despite her recent defeat.<\/p>\n

“This is where your email finds me,”\u00a0she wrote in the caption, as fans took to the comment section to share their support.<\/p>\n

Iga, who has won six WTA Tour-level Grand Slam singles titles, lost to the 29th-seed Filipina on Saturday, shocking tennis fans worldwide.\u00a0She opened up about the devastating loss in a press conference after the match, admitting that Alex was the better player on the day. \u00a0<\/p>\n

“I was there to fight. It\u00a0wasn’t\u00a0enough. For sure I could play a little bit better,”\u00a0Iga said.\u00a0“But she also played great. She used her chances. She went for it.”<\/p>\n

“It was hard for me to balance this speed that I have that made me lose some matches this year because I was playing too fast, with being solid. I\u00a0didn’t\u00a0find that good balance today, and I lost. She played better in important moments,”\u00a0Iga concluded.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Iga works hard to maintain her svelte bikini body, yet can’t\u00a0help but indulge in a classic Polish dish now and then \u2013 pasta with strawberries.\u00a0“I have my favorite, actually,”\u00a0she shared in a TikTok on the Wimbledon account.\u00a0“I ate it as a kid.\u00a0It’s\u00a0pasta with strawberries \u2013 pasta, strawberries, a little bit of yogurt \u2013\u00a0it’s\u00a0just great.”<\/p>\n
