On Friday, it was back in his possession after a Winnipeg Transit operator spotted the thief trying to get the bike on the bus.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe person who had the bike had been trying to take the wheel off and couldn\u2019t, so the tire was kind of slashed,\u201d said Watt\u2019s wife, Michele Chadwick, who posted about the stolen bike online.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/4388441_web1_Image.jpeg\" data-pswp- data-pswp-width=\"2048\" data-pswp-height=\"1536\"><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/4388441_web1_Image.jpeg\" alt=\"Morgan Modjeski \/ Free Press&#10;                                A Winnipeg Transit employee poses for a photo with Fergus Watt, 69, after two Transit employees were able to help him get his bike back. The pedal-powered two wheeler was stolen on Tuesday, but would be confiscated by a Winnipeg Transit employee and eventually resulted in its return Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, the Winnipeg bus driver was like: \u2018well, this doesn\u2019t make any sense,\u2019 so he confiscated the bike.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She\u2019s not sure how the driver managed to get the bike back, but it ended up in the Winnipeg Transit lost and found.
