Andre Iguodala feels Stephen Curry is the reason LeBron James might consider the Golden State Warriors in free agency, ESPN’s Dave McMenamin<\/a> reported Friday.<\/p>\n

Iguodala told McMenamin he’d recently been texted a friend about James’ potential interest in the Warriors.<\/p>\n

“He’s like, ‘Steph Curry, if he’s going to get another one of the greatest players of their generation to play on his team, what does it say about him?'” Iguodala told McMenamin.<\/p>\n

Curry made his pitch for James to come play in the Bay Area earlier this week when speaking with reporters at the American Century Championship.<\/p>\n

“Him going into his 24th season, me going into my 18th, the battles we’ve had, that would be such a unique story in NBA history, in sports history,” Curry said Thursday (h\/t ESPN’s Anthony Slater<\/a>). “But a little premature right now to talk about it.”<\/p>\n

The Warriors have the $3.9 million veterans exception available to offer James, per ESPN’s Bobby Marks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

ESPN’s Shams Charania<\/a> reported in a recent appearance on the Stephen A. Smith Show the Warriors feel they won’t be on James’ list of finalists unless they are able to acquire Anthony Davis.<\/p>\n

The Washington Wizards reportedly haven’t shown interest in trading Davis this offseason, according to ESPN Andscape’s\u00a0Marc J. Spears<\/a>.<\/p>\n
