The floods have already claimed several lives across China \u2014 while triggering landslides, storms and widespread property damage. However, the aftermath is even more troubling as the floods damaged a snake farm allegedly releasing around 900 snakes into the surrounding flood-hit areas.<\/p>\n
According to the South China Morning Post, most of the escaped reptiles were non-venomous. However, multiple reports indicated that the group also included venomous species, including cobras.<\/p>\n

Since the incident, several videos circulating on social media have shown snakes slithering through flooded streets, partially submerged lawns and residential neighbourhoods.<\/p>\n
