Not much went right for the Vancouver Bandits against Calgary Surge on Thursday night, suffering a 95-80 loss despite 21 points from Tevin Brown.<\/p>\n
Bandits trailed for most of the game, briefly leading by five in the first quarter.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
\u201cWe did [good] things in stints. We just didn\u2019t do it consistently,\u201d said Bandits head coach Ransford Brempong.<\/p>\n
Alongside his 21 points, Brown recorded five threes made and five rebounds.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s going to take discipline [to win]. [We] have to do it during every possession,\u201d said Brempong.<\/p>\n
Calgary\u2019s David Joplin led his team in scoring with 19 points. Four Surge players were in double digit scoring.<\/p>\n
The Bandits\u2019 80 points was the second-lowest point total of the season.<\/p>\n
Not all was bad for Vancouver as rookie Dominic Parolin poured in another impactful performance<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s been a bright spot\u201d said Brempong.<\/p>\n
Parolin finished with 17 points, two blocks and five rebounds.<\/p>\n
The Bandits were once again without several key players during Thursday\u2019s loss.<\/p>\n
Miller Kopp will be competing in the NBA Summer League with the Houston Rockets, and reigning Canadian Elite Basketball League Most Valuable Player Mitch Creek is playing for Australia during FIBA World Cup Qualifiers.<\/p>\n
It was the third of four meetings between the Western Conference rivals this season, played at the Saddledome as part of the Alberta club\u2019s annual Calgary Stampede game.<\/p>\n
