Collin Gosselin has fellow reality star Alexia Umansky in his corner ahead of him releasing his bombshell memoir<\/a> about his \u201cdark\u201d childhood with parents Kate and Jon Gosselin.<\/p>\n

Collin posted pics with Umansky on Instagram<\/a> Friday of the two having dinner together in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

\u201cWent for the pasta \ud83c\udf5d stayed for the good laughs and conversation. So good catching up with friends over dinner in LA!!\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

Umansky, the 30-year-old daughter of \u201cReal Housewives of Beverly Hills\u201d star Kyle Richards and real estate broker Mauricio Umansky, commented on the post, \u201cNow you just need to move to LA! \ud83d\udc6f.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cBuying Beverly Hills\u201d star posted her own Instagram Story with Collin Friday, and shared her support for his upcoming memoir, \u201cIn the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood,\u201d which drops on Oct. 13.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo proud of @collingosselin1 and everything he\u2019s standing up for,\u201d she wrote, adding a heart emoji. \u201cProud to call him my friend.\u201d<\/p>\n

She then posted a pic of the cover of 22-year-old Collin\u2019s book, writing, \u201cSo many of you watched @collingosselin1 grow up\u2026 So, many of you will want to hear his story. His book is available for pre-order.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Gosselin family rose to fame on the TLC series \u201cJon & Kate Plus 8,\u201d which aired from 2007 to 2017. The show followed Jon and Kate and their sextuplets<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 Collin, Aaden, Joel, Alexis, Hannah and Leah \u2014 as well as their twins, Cara and Madelyn.<\/p>\n

Jon, 49, and Kate, 51, split in 2009 after 10 years of marriage. In 2018, Jon\u00a0received sole custody of Collin<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Throughout the years, Collin has\u00a0accused Kate of \u201cchild abuse and child exploitation,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0which she\u2019s denied. Her lawyer told the US Sun back in September 2024 that he\u00a0didn\u2019t believe Kate had done anything to \u201cintentionally harm\u201d<\/a> Collin, and that she \u201cdid what she did to protect herself and her family\u201d from her son\u2019s \u201ctroubled behavior.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the description of Collin\u2019s book shared by the publisher, his memoir promises to reveal the \u201cnever-before-told story of how [Collin] escaped and found his way back from the dark.\u201d<\/p>\n

His memoir will recount him \u201cbeing held down, the basement cell where he was hidden for years and the cocktail of powerful antipsychotics forced on an 11-year-old boy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last month, Kate called her son \u201cmentally ill.\u201d<\/p>\n

Collin has continued to publicly take shots at his mom<\/a> ahead of the release of his book, and last month, Kate called him \u201cmentally ill.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

The mother of eight responded to a TikTok user who commented on her recent post that she empathized with being \u201cconstantly disparaged and lied about\u201d by an \u201cadult child with a skewed version of their childhood.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kate replied, \u201cThank you! YOU understand. Sadly, only parents who have a mentally ill child understand!\u201d<\/p>\n
