Manny Pacquiao has delivered a brutal blow to Floyd Mayweather Jr.<\/a> years after their blockbuster fight by taking over one of his longtime rival\u2019s former boxing gyms in Hollywood.<\/p>\n

The former Mayweather Boxing + Fitness location at 1724 N. Highland Ave. has reopened as Pacquiao Prime Boxing Gym, with Mayweather\u2019s photos replaced by nearly identical images of the Filipino boxing icon<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Pacquiao\u2019s team moved in after the Hollywood gym permanently closed on Jan. 1, 2025<\/p>\n

The franchise once operated more than 70 locations worldwide, including at least nine across the greater Los Angeles area, but fewer than half remain.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cRight after Manny\u2019s [2025] fight against [Mario] Barrios, we went to go see it together,\u201d Jas Mathur, CEO of Manny Pacquiao Promotions, told LA Material<\/a>. \u201cThe cherry on the cake is for it to have Floyd\u2019s name and to switch it out. But the location is key as a flagship to expand.\u201d<\/p>\n

The takeover comes as the two boxing legends appear to be on very different financial paths. <\/p>\n
