Michael Bubl\u00e9<\/a> is glad to be back home. Fresh off a short trip to Europe, the Canadian pop star is taking in the beauty of Quebec City \u2014 and savouring a plate of poutine while he’s at it.<\/p>\n

The “Home” singer took to social media on Saturday to pen a love letter to the province’s capital city, sharing photos of himself and his wife, Luisana Lopilato<\/a>, enjoying some time in the French town. In the snapshots, the duo cozied up in a selfie, posed in front of a candy store called Sugar Daddy’s and enjoyed the sunny weather over the weekend.<\/p>\n

“Coming home to Canada never gets old,” the Vancouver resident penned<\/a> in his caption. “There’s something about being back here that hits differently. Quebec is one of the most beautiful places on the planet, and getting to wander its streets with Lu, eating poutine and taking it all in together, makes me so, so happy!”<\/p>\n

The 50-year-old artist continued to share his excitement for his set<\/a> at the Festival d’\u00e9t\u00e9 de Qu\u00e9bec (FEQ), expressing his joy over performing in front of thousands of fans. The “Sway” singer is the Sunday night headliner for the music festival, and he’s set to take the Bell Stage at 9:30 p.m. ET after performances from jazz singer Melody Gardot and Montreal funk band The Brooks.<\/p>\n

“I don’t take that for granted for a second. This country, these people and getting to call this home, what a gift! Thank you,” he added, alongside a Canadian flag emoji.<\/p>\n

Across social media, fans shared their appreciation for Bubl\u00e9 sharing his love for Canada. Others welcomed the B.C.-born singer back home.<\/p>\n

“You two are the sweetest. ‘Home.’ There’s nothing like the love of being home with your love!” one Instagram user penned<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Get a guy that looks at you the way Michael Bubl\u00e9 looks at poutine,” an X user quipped<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“You are the best Canadian ambassador there is,” a Facebook user chimed in<\/a>. “Thank you, Michael, for always remembering where home is.”<\/p>\n

Last week, Bubl\u00e9 was in Malta for a show in Ta’ Qali on July 8. He opened with “Feeling Good” and wrapped his “polished, charismatic performance” with a rendition of “Cry Me a River,” according to the Times of Malta<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Bubl\u00e9 also took to social media to share tidbits of his trip to the country in the Mediterranean Sea. In one post, he shared images of himself performing; a post a couple of days prior showed himself enjoying the country with Lopilato and their children.<\/p>\n

“Malta! Our first time visiting but definitely not our last,” he penned<\/a> in a post featuring photos from the concert. “What a beautiful place, filled with even more beautiful people. Getting to experience it with Lu and our kids made it even more special. I’ve been lucky enough to see a lot of the world, but sharing these moments with the people I love has given travel a whole new meaning.”<\/p>\n

In recent weeks, Bubl\u00e9 has been performing in the U.K. and Ireland, taking to the stage in places like Dublin, Belfast, Limerick and Lancashire. In June, he performed at the opening ceremony for the World Cup<\/a> in Toronto with a cover of Sam Cooke’s 1962 song “Bring It On Home To Me.”<\/p>\n
