Vancouver Bandits ended their three-game road trip with an 112-98 win over the Stingers Saturday night in Edmonton.<\/p>\n
Bandits head coach Ransford Brempong said they \u201cknew what had to be done.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWinning isn\u2019t easy,\u201d Brempong observed. \u201cWe had to run, play defence and be tough. [Our] will was ready to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mychal Mulder drilled six three-pointers to lead the Bandits to victory.<\/p>\n
Mulder put up a season-high 25 points and went six-for-nine from downtown in just 16 minutes of play.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
\u201cPart of being a pro is staying ready. Whenever your number is called you\u2019ve got to be ready to answer the call,\u201d said Mulder.<\/p>\n
Bandits outscored the Stingers in every quarter.<\/p>\n
Brempong said tonight\u2019s performance was evidence of the Bandits\u2019 \u201cnext man up\u201d mentality.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re always going to be encouraging our guys even when they\u2019re struggling to keep with the process,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Shamar Givance scored 20 points along with six assists.<\/p>\n
Five players had 10+ points tonight, including 20 points from Tevin Brown, the fourth time he\u2019s hit that mark this season.<\/p>\n
Tyrese Samuel finished with 17 points, 13 rebounds and six assists. Jarkel Joiner followed with 13 points and six assists.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s good to end with a win. We\u2019re bringing some momentum back home and we\u2019ve got a lot of big games coming up,\u201d said Mulder.<\/p>\n
