Surrey pedestrian hit by transit bus in overnight collision<\/p>\n

A man is currently in hospital with life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
In a release sent by the Surrey Police Service (SPS) states that an investigation is in process after a serious overnight collision occurred between a TransLink bus and a pedestrian.<\/p>\n
On July 11 at approximately 9:41 p.m., SPS officers said they responded to a report from BCEHS of a seriously injured pedestrian lying on the road at the intersection of 128 Street and 96 Avenue in Surrey.<\/p>\n
SPS says officers arrived on scene and located the pedestrian who was receiving emergency medical treatment from BCEHS paramedics.<\/p>\n
The TransLink bus and driver were also located at the scene, says SPS.<\/p>\n
SPS shares that the pedestrian, an adult man, is said to have been transported to hospital for treatment of critical and potentially life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
SPS\u2019s collision investigation unit has now been called in and has taken over the investigation.<\/p>\n
The investigation is in its early stages, and it is said to be unknown what caused the collision between the vehicle and pedestrian.<\/p>\n
