Steven Fisk rolled in a short par putt at the third playoff hole to top Taylor Pendrith and capture his second US PGA Tour title at the ISCO Championship in Louisville, Kentucky, on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Fisk got up and down for par from greenside bunkers at each of the first two playoff holes and sealed the win with a two-putt par as Canada’s Pendrith made a bogey after finding a fairway bunker off the tee.<\/p>\n
“It’s what we play for,” Fisk said. “I could give a damn about finishing 60th in a golf tournament. This is what I want to do.”<\/p>\n
Pendrith matched the low round of the day with a five-under par 65 that put him first in the clubhouse on 16-under 264.<\/p>\n
Fisk nabbed four birdies in a three-under 67 to join him and both parred the first playoff hole, where Fisk salvaged par from a greenside bunker as Pendrith two-putted from nine feet.<\/p>\n
Both saved par at the second playoff hole before Fisk clinched the win he called a “vindication” after his first title in Jackson, Mississippi, last year.<\/p>\n
That win, he said, was “kind of out of nowhere. I feel like I’ve shown spurts of some better golf this year but haven’t been able to sustain it.<\/p>\n
“So to come out here today and grind my butt off is pretty special.”<\/p>\n
Canadian Ben Silverman and American Aaron Wise shared third on 15-under 265.<\/p>\n
Silverman climbed the leaderboard with a four-under 66 while Wise signed for a 69.<\/p>\n
