Is it your fault that your house is too close?<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s read <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/AmItheAsshole\/comments\/1lz8xdi\/aita_hit_some_guys_house_while_golfing\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">this story <\/a>to see one golfer\u2019s perspective.<\/p>\n<p>Playing golf, sliced my drive into some guy\u2019s house, hit the vinyl and landed in his yard.<\/p>\n<p>No big deal right? I jump over his 2\u2019 fence and look for my ball.<\/p>\n<p>No, I\u2019m not going to play it out of his yard, but I want it back.<\/p>\n<p>The home owner was not feeling quite so chill about it.<\/p>\n<p>Dude comes out raising his voice about hitting his house and how his kids could\u2019ve been out there or hit his window or whatever.<\/p>\n<p>He tells me to get out of his yard, that my ball is his ball now.<\/p>\n<p>Okay, whatever, it is his yard after all. But I don\u2019t think I\u2019m on the wrong. I\u2019ve literally put a window out doing the same thing (years ago, in high school) and just kept playing like nothing happened.<\/p>\n<p>Ok but\u2026that\u2019s bad, though. You shouldn\u2019t have done that.<\/p>\n<p>My wife says I\u2019m an [jerk] for hitting the guy\u2019s house and he has a right to be [angry].<\/p>\n<p>Also, I\u2019m [a jerk] for putting out a window years earlier.<\/p>\n<p>I say that\u2019s what you sign up for living on a golf course.<\/p>\n<p>I should know, I grew up living in a house on a golf course.
